Day 1: Arrival at Kochi Airport
Representatives from SAAM’s will receive you from the airport and transfer you to a company associated hotel in Kochi. From your hotel, transport will be arranged for you to go visit Cherai Beach and Vypeen Island. Wandering through the streets of Fort Kochi is highly recommended to those of you who are interested in historical architecture. The Jewish Town and the Mattancherry Synagogue are quite popular amongst tourists. The synagogue, built in 1568, is the oldest amongst all active synagogues in the Commonwealth Nations. Other places worth visiting include the Chinese Fishing Nets and the Elephant Camp.

Day 02 and 03: Early Morning drive to Munnar (180-200 min.)
Stop at the Thommankuthu Waterfalls before continuing on towards Munnar.
For the next two nights, SAAM’s will arrange for you to stay at an associated resort in Munnar; a pretty hill-station nestled amongst the Western Ghats. The name Munnar is thought to be a derivation of the words ‘Three Rivers’ as the rivers Madhurappuzha, Kundali and Nallathanni all meet in Munnar. A day trip to Anamuddi Peak and the Powerhouse Waterfalls can be arranged on request. Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is another spot worth visiting.
Day 04 and 05: Drive to Periyar Tiger Reserve after breakfast on the morning of Day 4 (Travel Time: 180-200 min.)
Stop by at the Idukki Dam Reservoir to visit Idukki National Park before continuing on towards Periyar.
SAAM’s will arrange for you to spend the next two nights at an associated resort near the Reserve. We will also arrange for your expeditions into the jungle on-request. Witness the wide variety of rare fauna and flora that resides in Periyar and try visiting Thekkady and the Spice Gardens of Kumily if time permits.
Day 06 and 07: Early morning drive to Alleppey on Day 6 (Travel Time: 240-300 min.)
Stop by at Aruvikkuzhi Water Cascades (Kottayam) en-route to Alleppey.
Climb on board the luxurious SAAM’s Houseboat at Alleppey for a royal journey through Kerala’s famous backwaters. You will come by some exquisite views whilst sitting in the lap of luxury aboard SAAM’s luxury Houseboat.
Stay on board the boat for two nights and disembark at Kumarakom in Kottayam District. Be sure to have a picnic on the shores of Lake Vembanadu.
Day 08: Drive to Kollamafter breakfast on Day 8 (Travel Time: 90-120 min.)
Stop by at Kayamkulam Lake on the way to Kollam.
In Kollam, make sure you visit Ashtamudi Lake (‘Ashta’-eight, ‘mudi’- coned), as it is the gateway to Kerala’s backwaters. Other attractions around Kollam should include a walk along Kollam Beach, a trip to the KottakalEdakkal Caves, Thenmala Dam Reservoir and the Palaruvi Waterfalls.
SAAM’s will arrange for you to spend your last night in Kerala at an associated resort in Kollam. Choose to stay the night either facing the ocean or along the shores of Lake Ashtamudi.
